Saturday, August 9, FOAL will have a special sale. There are so many unique donations, including seasonal decor, craft items, and board games. Items you might find are priced from $0.50 to $150:

  • Vintage slide projector
  • Serger
  • Musical Instruments
  • Original framed art
  • Special Book Sets
    • Vintage Mark Twain
    • Louis L’Amore leatherette edition

No rolling carts, please. Cash or Checks only.

FOAL Members get early access from 9am to 10 am on August 9.

From 10 am to 3 pm the sale opens to the public. Attendees are welcome to join FOAL at the door for $5 membership.

Even though annual book sales have not been possible for some time due to Covid, construction, and severe weather, FOAL book sale shelves are available in the lobby.

Volunteers fill shelves daily and usually someone is available in the afternoons to help our patrons. In addition to books, you’ll find DVD’s, CD’s, puzzles, board games, magazines and much more. All items are donated, allowing an ever- changing variety to choose from.

Currently, teaching materials and school related items have been popular, with holiday books, magazines, and décor soon to follow. Most paper backs are 50¢ and hard covers $1; cash only.

Everyone is invited to follow FOAL on Facebook. Snapshots of new and featured items will be posted regularly, with information concerning FOAL and library programs.

FOAL Annual Book Sale August 18!

The Friends of the Atascocita Library(FOAL) will hold a used book sale Saturday, August 18, from 10AM – 5PM at the Atascocita Library, 19520 Pinehurst Trail Dr.  Individuals with disabilities may shop from 9AM -10AM. Preview sale for FOAL members is Friday evening from 5PM-7PM, with memberships available at the door. There is a large selection including teaching materials, children’s, fiction and nonfiction, hard backs and paperbacks, 25¢ music CD’s, 25¢ magazines, and much more. Most are priced at $.50 – $1.00. FOAL reusable book bags are available for $3. Donations of used books & magazines are welcome anytime during regular library hours. No wheeled carts or strollers due to space limitations.
